Devil'sTower, Wyoming

 

After leaving Rapid City, we stopped by to see the Devil's Tower.  Another very holy place for the Indians.   The Indian lore says that 6 girls and 1 boy were walking down

a road, when the boy turned into a bear and started chasing the girls.  The rock came out of the ground and told the girls to climb on to the rock.  The scratches on the side of the rock are from the bears claws trying to get to the girls.  The rock kept climbing higher and higher until the girls were safe.
