Houma, Louisiana

Houmas House is a mansion built in 1840 in Darrow.  Once the seat of a 20,000 acre sugar plantation.  It was once the setting for several films, including "Hush...Hush, Sweet Charlotte" starring Bette Davis.  This statue of Lincoln was done by the same artist that carved the statues of the Presidents in South Dacota.

Stopped by a cafe in Houma with RV friends John & Susan for beignets, the famous New Orleans style donut.
